EMIL CARLSEN (American, 1848-1932) STILL LIFE WITH FRUIT AND JARS. Oil on canvas tabletop scene shows an arrangement of fruit and vases on a blueish/green cloth partially covering a white tabletop. The fruit includes a cut orange, purple grape bunch and yellow apple. A green Chinese ginger jar and bronze handled vessel are seen in back against the uplifted cloth and brown background. Signed lower left. Housed in what appears to be its original gilt carved wood frame. SIZE: 21″ x 24″. CONDITION: Five old patches to reverse, old restoration with inpainting at patch points, some wrinkling at corners which needs tightening. Otherwise good to very good. 9-95102 (8,000-12,000)
