GEORGIAN-STYLE OPEN ARM LIBRARY CHAIR. Circa 1910. The rectangular padded back with serpentine crest rail joined to the shaped arms, the armrests and incurved supports carved with leaftips, centering the trapezoidal upholstered seat with serpentine front rail above the conforming apron carved with scrolling leaftips, raised on cabriole legs with carved knees and acanthus-carved bulbous feet. SIZE: 42″ h. of back. 17-1/2″ h. of seat. PROVENANCE: From a Bangor, Maine collection. CONDITION: Very fine condition with original surfaces, no repairs or restoration, damask upholstery clean, seat frame tight. 9-92365 (300-400)
