CUSTOM WINCHESTER HIGH WALL TARGET RIFLE. Cal. 45-2.4” (45-100 Sharps Straight). SN 113378. Fine heavy custom target rifle with 32″ about #3 weight rnd bbl, with Winchester style spirit level windage adjustable globe front sight by Michael Stevens and a evens reproduction Soule windage adjustable Vernier tang sight with Merit style aperture. The top of the bbl is drilled & tapped for target scope blocks. The bbl is unmarked except for the caliber and has an extra hole in the bottom under the forearm, apparently for an additional lockdown screw. The left side of the receiver is drilled & tapped for a receiver sight. It is mounted with highly figured American walnut buttstock and long squared forearm with a reproduction cartridge head inlaid near the tip. It is uncheckered with pistol grip and cheek piece, 13-3/8″ over a thin white line pad. Accompanied by about 300-rnds of formed brass, one unloaded cartridge and spare inserts for the front sight. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Metal and wood retain about all of their fine custom finish with some light pitting on the receiver. Mechanics are fine, brilliant shiny bore.
