EUGENE CARTIER BRONZE OF BEARDED RIDER ON HORSEBACK. Late 19th-early 20th century. Depicting a male rider with staff in right hand, reins in left, bearded and with broad-brimmed hat. Mounted on a realistically depicted fully accoutremented horse on an oval bronze base, signed “Eugene Cartier” on base beside proper left hind foot. Stepped black and green marble plinth. SIZE: 15″ h. x 13″ overall l. CONDITION: With fine green/brown patina, molded in very nice detail. Pinned tail with fine seam split at body. 9-94554 (1,500-2,500)
