TWO ORIENTAL DECORATED VASES. Late 19th/early 20th century. The first a baluster form famille verte decorated overall with polychrome floral shrubs populated with fanciful birds and insects. The everted rim with a pale lavender diaperwork band with reserves decorated with scholarly devices. The base with six-character mark in underglaze-blue. The second a faceted hexagonal canister vase polychrome decorated overall with flowering shrubs at top and bottom, the center section decorated with censors on stands alternating with panels of symbols in red enamel. SIZE: 1) 18″ h x 8-1/4″ dia. 2) 12-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: 1)Very good. 2) Very good. 9-23291 (600-800)
