PATENT MODEL: BED BOTTOM BY W.A. LEROW & J.W.C. PETERS. No patent tag, but has receiving tag dated Sept. 13, 1870. Wood bed frame with woven wire mattress and gears enabling raising of head to various angles. Side is painted with inventors’ names, “Chicago, Ill.” SIZE: 12″ l. x 8″ w. x 3-1/4″ d. CONDITION: Mechanism that raises and lowers head is in need of repair, possible replacement brackets holding this mechanism. Some minor chips to bottom, otherwise generally good. 1-1490 (200-300)
