HOLDEN OPEN FRAME SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 44 RF. SN 1309. Scarce iron frame model of an estimated total production of 200, most of which were bronze frame. It has a 24″ oct bbl, Holden dovetail front sight and small Henry style ladder rear sight. It has uncheckered wood with small forearm and straight stock, semi-crescent steel buttplate. The front of the trigger guard has a sling swivel. CONDITION: Very good to fine. No orig finish remains being an overall light gray patina with traces of darker patina in the sheltered areas and some light chemical spotting on the receiver. Wood is sound and retains most of an old restored finish. Good mechanics, bright shiny bore. 4-54019 JR7 (800-1,200)
