WHITNEY KENNEDY LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45/60 SN 276. 28” oct bbl. Standard “Whitneyville Armory, CT, U SA. / Kennedy” on top of bbl in front of rear sight, 45 Cal “60 Gr” behind rear sight. Upper tang is marked “PAT’D JAN.7-73. / AP’L 1(2) MAY 13. & AUG.12-79” Dovetail front sight has a German silver blade. Compartment under sliding trapdoor on butt is empty. CONDITION: 40% blue overall. Worn on edges with scattered light surface rust and pitting. Wood has minor dents and scratches, but retains about 60% varnish. Bore is bright but lightly pitted. Number on side of lever is “075”. Mechanically fine. 4-31025 FS151 (1,400-1,750)
