*SCARCE SMITH & WESSON 22/32 KIT GUN WITH ORIGINAL BOX. SN 530105. Cal. 22. Blue finish with 4″ tapered rnd bbl, notched half moon front sight and adjustable rear sight on rnd top frame. Frame is rnd butt style and is mounted with beautiful diamond checkered silver medallion walnut grips. It is 5-screw style frame and accompanied by its orig hinged lid, dark maroon cardboard box with pea green & black end label identifying this revolver as found. Bottom of box is matching numbered in pencil and also has the pencil notation “Kirkwood / 23 Elm Street”. Inside the box contains an orig twisted wire handle bristle brush and a twisted wire handle mop. These little revolvers were specifically designed with the intention of being used by sportsmen & outdoorsmen as part of their hunting or fishing kit and with that sort of use they are rarely ever found in high orig condition, especially with their orig boxes. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus, all matching except grips which are unnumbered, however there is no doubt that these are the orig grips to this revolver. Overall retains 99% plus strong, dark, orig factory blue with no visible flaws. Grips are crisp with a couple of minor spots on the diamond points and show most of their orig wood grain with little or no hand oil in the checkering. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore, may have been fired but if so very little. Box is equally new with one small scratch on top of lid. 4-40584 JR72 (2,000-3,000)
