WILLIAM LESTER STEVENS (American, 1888-1969) “WATERFALL”. Large oil on canvas landscape scene shows a cascading waterfall through rock lined banks to small pool at base. Probably a scene of Chapel Falls, Ashfield, Mass. Signed bottom right “W. Lester Stevens N.A.”. Housed in a fine replacement gilt frame with linen lining. Titled on back of canvas and “328”. An old label on reverse indicates provenance from the son of the artist. SIZE: 30″ x 36″. PROVENANCE: From a private Massachusetts collection. CONDITION: Very good. 9-98301 (6,000-9,000)
