The carved wooden figure with glass eyes and ring of wavy hair below a bald crown above the solid body with articulated arms, holding a bowl with dove seated within, the body raised on eight rectangular splayed slats supported by a center pole on a spool turned, notch-carved plinth. Possibly a model for St. Francis of Assisi. SIZE: 16”h, 5” dia. CONDITION: Overall very good with some paint losses to hair, surfaces skinned, right proper hand may be modeled for holding an object now absent. 9-90035 SM (400-800)
