OUTSTANDING SEVEN PIECE GORHAM STERLING SILVER TEA SERVICE. Set consisting of 28″ x 18″ double handled tray inscribed on bottom “Minnie Hax McCullough May 27, 1930″ and is monogrammed on surface with multiple initials. 12″ three-part kettle on stand, 9″ h coffee pot, 7″ h teapot, 5″ creamer, 6″ covered sugar bowl, 3-1/2” waste bowl/open sugar. This one of a kind custom order from Gorham was made for Minne Hax McCullough who was grandmother of David McCullough the two-time Pulitzer Prize winning author. Set has a decoration with clusters of berries, fluted corners and a band of scroll work. All pieces are monogrammed and are hand-raised and hammered with superb quality. Approx. 240 troy oz. CONDITION: Generally very good, dimple in tray center and some minor scratches. 9-93594 (12,000-15,000)
