EXCEPTIONAL ROCOCO REVIVAL CARVED OVER-MANTLE MIRROR, PROBABLY CONTINENTAL. Circa 1860. Profusely carved with scrolling floral, fruit, and nut clusters, the triple-arched crest additionally carved with grapevines, scrolling ribbons, and flowerheads, centering three arched mirrorplates divided with engaged half-colonettes beneath shell-carved cresting. The whole of simulated rosewood. SIZE: Approx. 94″ h. x 67″ w. PROVENANCE: From an extensive private Gulf Coast collection. CONDITION: Professionally restored and refinished.
