COMPOSITE LOT OF MILITARY ITEMS. (1) WWII mess kit, dated “1942”, complete, etched on the bottom with the name “Miller” and dates of various campaigns from 1942 – 1945 – good; (2) GI canteen cup, hand etched with various Pacific locations and dated February 20, 1945 – good; (3) Small box containing an Air Medal with the name “G.C. Alfred Jr.” on the back, an Air Force Good Conduct Medal and an Air Force Reserve Medal – fine; (4) A Korean made M4 carbine bayonet – very fine; (5) Fine belt sheath for commando knife – good; (6) Early IXL Bowie knife sheath, gold embossed red leather with German silver tip and throat with frog stud, 6-1/2” overall – extremely fine; (7) Hand made brown leather box, 5-1/2” wide x 4-1/2” high x 3-3/8” deep with hand laced edges and a shoulder strap, hand tooled on each end with various theatres and battles. The top is etched with a thunderbird and a diamond and “45th Division” with the initials “N.E.K.” on the front flap. Latch is damaged, otherwise fine; (8) Unusual metal canteen with top spout and two D-ring hangers, ovoid shaped, 8” wide x 6-1/2” high x 3” thick. Light dents and moderate rust; (9) Canadian Haet belt, faded blue with leather straps and buckles, bearing several Canadian pins, badges and buttons including “Northampton”, “Cheshire”, “47th Canada”, “C28” and “C38” with several others. Belt billets are dry rotted and broken, canvas is faded to gray. (10) A light canvas and leather musette or shoulder bag with “Lt. Wm. J. Marlowe / Co. A. 349th Inf. / 88th Division” written on the flap – faded and worn, with some rust staining, a hole in the strap, with an open seam and torn button hole. 4-47789 JR775 (300-500)
