FLOWER BRICK OR CASKET. Body of casket is of pearlware type glaze with green edge decoration. There is a female face covered by a scallop shell on each corner. Casket is roped in floral garland and sits on a plinth of four green glaze dolphins lying on a base. Base is marked “Neale & Co” on underside. Cover of casket is also of green decorated pearlware and has three large and four small openings. SIZE: 6-1/2″ t. Base is 8″ x 5″. PROVENANCE: A gift to the Maine State Museum being sold to benefit the museums acquisition fund. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent with no significant losses. 5-61606 (400-600)
