TWO CHINESE EXPORT DECORATED TEAPOTS. 18th, 19th century. First, a Famille Rose example, each side with floral decorated reserve within border of pink diaperwork. Lid with turquoise border and knop finial. Top joined to pot by decorative chain banded to pot at handle and spout. Possibly Yung-Cheng period. Second smaller example decorated with polychrome sailing vessel on rough seas surrounded by stylized cloud bands. Lid with decorated reserves alternating with pink diaperwork and knop finial. SIZE: First: 4-3/4″ h. Second: 4-1/4″ h. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Very good. 9-23244 (600-900)
