PATENT MODEL: MACHINE FOR MOLDING SUGAR FOR TABLE USE BY S.W. BOYNTON. Original patent tag #45,579, dated Dec. 27, 1864. All wooden model features two large drums that interact with each other, one with teeth, the other with indentations in order to form sugar cubes. Has metal catch tray and cloth conveyer belt on one side to put out finished product. This belt driven mechanism also has plaque stenciled with inventor’s name. SIZE: 12″ l. x 12-1/2″ t. x 12″ d. CONDITION: Possibly refinished at one time, minor chips to hopper area, otherwise generally good. 1-1465 (1,000-1,500)
