LARGE FLAP HOLSTER WITH SHOULDER STRAP.

LARGE FLAP HOLSTER WITH SHOULDER STRAP. Made of fine brown leather, 12” long with large circular flap having bound edges with a closure tab on the flap and the brass stud and strap missing. Shoulder strap is made of same leather, 1 1/2”w with belt loops on the inside just above holster. It has a common type iron roller buckle. It appears to have been for a large revolver, possibly a dragoon or a Walker and seems to have had a revolver with at least a 7” bbl carried in it for a long time. CONDITION: Fine, the leather is soft and supple and retains generous amounts of its original brown finish, turning dark around the toe and at high wear points. 4-48962 JS754 (500-1,000)
