HAWKES INTAGLIO CARVED VASE. Interesting Hawkes vase has orange enameled exterior. Vase is then intaglio carved through to the clear body of the vase with an Oriental pheasant perched upon a tree limb with a spray of flowers surrounding the top and bottom of the vase. Carving is nicely detailed. Vase is signed on the underside near the rim with acid etched stamp “Hawkes”. SIZE: 9-1/4″ t. PROVENANCE: From a private Virginia collection.
