WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38-72. SN 45306. Standard grade rifle with 26” tapered oct bbl, replacement Sheard front sight with semi-buckhorn rear sight. Receiver has two plugged holes for a receiver sight. Mounted with uncheckered straight grain American walnut with black insert, schnable tipped forearm & straight stock with crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 96-97% strong bright orig blue with only sharp edge wear & some slight thinning over chamber area. Receiver retains 93-95% glossy bright blue with natural striation lines down both sides and one small spot of pitting on left side. Cartridge box retains about 70-75% thinning orig blue. Wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches and retains most of its strong orig factory varnish. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore with a spot or two of very light rust. 4-30030 JR47 (3,500-5,000)
