FOUR CHINESE EXPORT CHARGERS TOGETHER WITH AN IMARI DISH. 18th and 19th century. Lot includes a 9-3/4″ diameter export plate of “thousand butterfly” design. An 11-1/2″ diameter export charger decorated overall with roosters amongst flowers, the reverse decorated with cinnabar color bamboo. An 11-1/2″ charger depicting a festive parade including fireworks and dragons. A 13-1/2″ diameter unusual Chinese export charger decorated overall with reserves depicting fanciful birds, parrots and insects in a dense floral landscape all surrounded by floral vinery borders populated with red squirrels. A 7-1/4″ diameter, 19th century Imari scenic plate decorated with two panels of landscapes and with Japanese lanterns. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones.
