SHARPS COMPOSITE HEAVY BBL RIFLE.

SHARPS COMPOSITE HEAVY BBL RIFLE. Cal 45. SN 77769. Meacham style conversion using the military action and buttstock from a carbine with a 34” extremely heavy bbl that is 1-1/2” across the flats. Front sight is a thin silver blade Rocky Mountain replacement with a buckhorn ladder Sharps rear sight. The forearm is custom made with a pewter tip. The buttstock still has a sling bar base on the left wrist. The top flat of the bbl has the company Bridgeport address and the usual “OLD RELIABLE” with the addition of the hand engraved script inscription “LUCIFER”. CONDITION: Bbl retains an overall light gray patina with some very light surface spotting. Receiver and lockplate as a mottled silver brown. Forearm is fine and retains most of its custom finish. Buttstock is sound and retains some original oil finish with minor handling and use marks. Brilliant shiny bore. 4-50930 JR70 (4,000-7,000)
