25” CHINA HEAD DOLL. With black so-called spill curls, this is an 1850’s era doll with deeply modeled curls featuring fine brush marks at the end of the curls. Mounted on a replacement body with newer porcelain arms and legs, dressed in red skirt and shirtwaist with black lace and trim. Tiny gold earrings have been glued to the ears, but these can easily be removed without incurring any damage. CONDITION: Good quality head, fine painting, some minor paint wear on hair in back.
