COMPOSITE 1874 SHARPS RIFLE. Cal 45. SN C51939. This rifle consists of a military receiver and buttstock fitted with a 32” medium weight oct bbl that has a globe front sight. The top flat has apparent spurious company markings and spurious “JP LOWER” markings over the chamber. The forearm is also a replacement. The buttstock has 2 crisp cartouches and original sling swivel. The vernier tang sight is a reproduction. CONDITION: Bbl retains about 95% strong blue. Receiver and lockplate are a mottled silver brown. Patchbox and buttplate are a smooth dark brown with light rust. Brilliant shiny bore. 4-50807 JR69 (1,500-2,500)
