PAIR OF J. & J.W. MEEKS “STANTON HALL” LAMINATED ROSEWOOD ARMCHAIRS. Circa 1860. Each laminated back with arched crest centering a floral cartouche and pierced leafage, continuing to scrolled carved arms centering the overupholstered seat with bowed serpentine front rail with ‘S’ scrolled moldings and central cartouche, raised on molded cabriole legs, terminating in casters. SIZE: Each 45″ h. of back x 27-1/2″ overall w. PROVENANCE: From an extensive private Gulf Coast collection. CONDITION: Very fine overall. Retaining old cleaned surface, with nice color and patina. Now covered in a rose-pink textured silk. No restorations or imperfections noted. 9-93375 (8,000-12,000)
