FINE HOOKED RUG OF CAROUSEL HORSE. Mid-20th century. Wrought depicting a prancing carousel horse in shades of variegated browns, with green and polychrome saddle, tassels and trappings, mounted on a candycane striped pole, all within a border of bright polychrome tassels, the whole on an ivory ground. SIZE: 30″ x 42″. PROVENANCE: From an East Sangerville, Maine private collection. Acquired in Topsham, Maine in the 1980’s by the present owner’s mother. CONDITION: With some weaknesses to one corner. 9-94944 (1,200-1,500)
