MUTT & JEFF TIN WIND-UP TOY BY GUNTHERMANN. An extremely rare toy circa 1920s of Jeff riding on Mutt’s back. When the toy is wound Mutt pushes forward with his rear legs while Jeff, riding on Mutt’s back, dangles about holding on for dear life. Wind-up mechanism contained within Mutt’s body and typical of Gunthermann high quality realistic litho on tin makes this not only a novel toy but truly very appealing as well. Toy appears to be in all original untouched condition with no repairs and in working order. SIZE: Approx 6-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Overall very good to fine. 1-11539 (3,500-5,500)
