ATLANTIC ESCAPE & EVASION KIT. SN 427. Unopened kit designed for covert and behind the lines operators. It measures 4-7/16″ x 3-11/16″ x 3/4″. It is covered in black rubber with the raised notice “IF FOUND RETURN TO / COMNAVAIRLANT (CNAL 34) / NORFOLK, VIRGINIA”. The contents and weights are unknown at this time. A minor amount of research should disclose the contents. If all else fails it could be x-rayed. Accompanied by copies of an invoice from the Columbus, Ohio Defense Property Disposal Region Office dated 18 April 80 where a Mr. Morton Ostow of New York City purchased this kit for $691.00.
