AMERICAN ROCOCO BRASS ASTRAL LAMP. Mid-19th century. The etched clear and frosted shade with grapevine motif, fitted to a brass ring with prisms on a columnar standard cast with leaftips on a stepped marble base. SIZE: 16-1/2″ h. of base. Shade: 8-3/4″ h. PROVENANCE: From an extensive private Gulf Coast collection. CONDITION: In very good original condition with nice patina, slight discoloration to marble, prisms with several minor chips and flecks, the shade old with no imperfections. Retains original burner, not electrified. Brass collar on column with seam split, otherwise very good. 9-93490 (800-1,200)
