*VERY RARE WALTHER G41(W) SEMI-AUTO MILITARY RIFLE. SN 5600ac. Cal. 8X57 mm. Spectacular G41(W) with 22″ shrouded bbl, tall front sight with hood, 1,200 meter rear sight & mounted in a beautiful, nicely figured, uncheckered 1-pc walnut stock with black composition hand guard & headless orig cleaning rod. Accompanied by an orig diamond embossed leather sling. Stock has two crisp eagle “359” Waffenampts on bottom with tiny eagle “359” Waffenampts over most of visible parts. Very few of these rare rifles were ever made & virtually all were issued for wartime military service & saw heavy action leaving most of them worn with damaged & replaced parts. In fifty years plus experience this is the single finest example of this rare rifle this cataloger has ever examined. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine, near new, all visible parts are matching numbered with Waffenampts. Retains virtually all of its strong orig factory finish with only minor handling & storage wear. Stock has a few minor storage mars & overall retains most of its bright orig finish. Sling is extremely fine with a few light scratches.
