LARGE S.F.B.J. CHARACTER BOY. Head is incised “S.F.B.J. 237 PARIS 8”. This unusually large example of this mold features inset blue glass eyes open mouth with four upper teeth and painted dark brown hair. He is on his original fully jointed French wood and composition body and has been well dressed in a cream colored silk shirt and brown velvet trousers and wears newer black leather shoes. SIZE: 22″ (55cm). CONDITION: Very good body retains original finish with only minor paint flakes on several fingers. Dark paint on hair added later and will wash off. 1-7883 (1,500-2,500)
