*WINCHESTER DELUXE MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. SN 126266. Fine, special order deluxe ’86 with 26” oct to rnd bbl, 2/3 magazine with highly figured, flame grain, center crotch cut, American walnut with “H” style checkered forearm and capped pistol grip stock, 13-1/4” over a Winchester hard rubber buttplate. There is a gold initial plate on bottom engraved in script, “W.D. King”. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl & magazine tube retain most of their orig blue turned slightly dull. Receiver retains 15-20% orig blue, under some artificial aging. Lever retains 75-80% case colors, strong in sheltered areas, faded elsewhere and hammer about 95% strong orig case colors. Wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches and retains virtually all of its beautiful, orig, piano varnish finish. Mechanics are crisp, very bright shiny bore. This rifle has seen very little use, but apparently the receiver flaked severely and someone gave it a little touch-up. 4-30860 JR211 (10,000-15,000)
