THREE CHINESE EXPORT DECORATED PLATTERS. 18th and 19th centuries. 1) 18th century example decorated with central garden scene within diaperwork border in underglaze blue with scalloped edges and canted corners. 2) Rectangular platter with canted corners decorated overall with floral sprigs centering a garden with birds and insects. Done in colors of brick red with grays, greens and birds. 3) Smallest example decorated with central coastal scene, two dogs in foreground with floral border, all in underglaze blue with canted and notched corners. SIZE: 1) 14-1/2″ x 11. 2) 13″ x 9-1/4″. 3) 10-3/4″ x 7″. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: 1) Very good retaining vibrant colors. 2) With wear to edges including minor losses of gilding and painted border, otherwise very good. 3) Very good. 9-23249 (1,000-1,500)
