TWO ANCIENT ROMAN VESSELS. 1) Outstanding double cruet is created with two separate sides fused together for dispensing two separate oils or vinegar and oil. Vial is finished with an applied glass handle. 2) Unusual early Roman liquid dispenser has bulbous body and slender neck with applied threading. Shoulder of the body is decorated with applied zigzag threading and an applied green glass spout. Glass displays some nice subtle iridescence. SIZE: 4-1/4″ and 4-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: From the Private Collection of Dorothy Lee Jones. CONDITION: Both are very good to excellent; handle on double vial has been broken and glued. Some of the zigzag threading on the liquid dispenser is missing. 5-61728 (600-1,000)
