STEVENS MODEL 49 DELUXE TARGET RIFLE. Cal 25-20 Single Shot. SN 10606. Built on a 44-1/2” action with single set trigger and 28” oct to rnd medium weight bbl with windage globe front sight, no provision for a rear sight, and has a mid range Stevens tang sight with 2-3/4” blade. It has case colored receiver and full loop lever with a schutzen style buttstock with carved cheekpiece and Swiss buttplate and checkered wrist with S-curved grip bottom. Forearm is checkered to match with a semi-schnable tip. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching. Bbl retains 97-98% strong bright original blue. Receiver retains about all of its original case colors, slightly faded and has a couple of slightly battered screws. Lever retains 60-70% bright case colors with the balance turned silver. Buttplate retains 50-60% faded case colors mixed with light patina. Wood is sound with minor handling and use marks and retains most of its bright original varnish.
