FRAMED CIVIL WAR PRINT. Titled “Sabers and Roses” by Dale Gallon, #7 of 50 artist proofs, signed and remarked with a water color rose. Image size 23-3/4” x 14-1/4”, triple matted and nicely framed. Printed on the bottom edge of the print is “After saying good bye to Anne Cocky at a ball in Urbana, MD on September 8, 1862, J.E.B. Stuart and his men attack and drive off nearby Yankee raiders”. The scene depicts a troop of mounted Confederate cavalry in front of an Antebellum mansion with ladies and gentlemen in formal dress on the porch and balcony and Gen. Stuart with his hat removed talking to a lady in a pink dress. CONDITION: Extremely fine, the image is sharp, the colors vivid and bright.
