*RARE STEVENS MODEL 56 DELUXE LADIES RIFLE. Cal 28-30. SN 3341. Rare little rifle on 44 action with 26” tapered oct to rnd bbl, no provisions for sights, with scope blocks on the top flat and original rings containing an original Stevens target scope bearing SN 338. It has a case colored receiver with double set triggers and S-shaped lever. It has spectacular flame-grain wood with checkered schnable tipped forearm and perch belly stock with checkered wrist and a Swiss buttplate. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. Bbl retains 96-98% strong original blue. Receiver retains 96-98% brilliant original case colors, very slightly muted with a few minor scratches, mostly on the left side. Lever has an old repair near the receiver, otherwise retains about 75% case colors. Wood is sound and retains virtually all of its bright original varnish with minor handling and storage marks. Buttplate retains 75-80% thin faded case colors. Brilliant shiny bore and fine optics. Scope tube has one small dent and retains about 80% blue turning plum. 4-51532 JR873 (3,500-6,000)
