HANDEL BOUDOIR LAMP.

HANDEL BOUDOIR LAMP. Lamp begins with a reverse painted domical shade in brilliant background colors of oranges, red and black. The decoration is completed with blue wild flowers and yellow butterflies with stylized foliage in chartreuse. Shade is supported by a bronzed metal bulbous base on a pierced Chinese stand. Base is complete with top cap and ornate finial. Shade is signed on the interior “Handel 7011”. Base is signed on the underside “Handel”. Lamp may be further referenced in a June 1923 advertisement in the magazine House Beautiful as well as pictured in The Handel Lamps Book by Hibel, Hibel and Fontaine, pg. 233. SIZE: Shade is 8″ dia. Lamp is 14-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. Base is very good with replaced socket and has been rewired. 5-62215 (1,500-2,000)
