*EXCEEDINGLY RARE WALTHER MODEL PP LONG SLIDE SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. SN 779153. Cal. 7.65 mm (32 ACP). Extraordinarily rare PP with long slide & “Vercrompt” finish with checkered gold plated trigger. This rare pistol has the extraordinary 5″ bbl with commensurately long slide & fixed sights with an ivory or radium insert in front sight & a fire blued fixed rear sight. Safety is also fire blued. Trigger, front & back straps are all very finely checkered and it is fitted with mottled brown Walther banner composition grips. The finish is satin hard chrome with matching chromed, finger-rest magazine. This pistol is one of only six ever made & all six were shipped to Glaser in Zurich. This is probably the only example in the United States. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Overall retains about 98% crisp orig factory satin hard chrome finish with a few minor bright spots on bottom front of frame & bottom of slide. Grips are crisp showing very light wear.
