ROYAL VIENNA PLAQUE. Lovely Royal Vienna porcelain plaque has a depiction of Marie Antoinette in a red gown with striped bow and lace trim. She is wearing a period hat with lilac plumes and is holding a bouquet of roses. The portrait is circled by a dark blue border with gold gilt beading, lattice and filigree. A gold gilt cartouche in the border is inscribed “Marie Antoinette”. Artist signed “Johner”. Marked on the reverse with a blue beehive mark. SIZE: Plaque is 11-5/8″ dia. Overall 18-1/4 dia. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with minor gilt to gold on frame. 5-60575 (2,500-3,500)
