HANDEL AQUATIC TABLE LAMP. Reverse painted shade depicts aquatic life with fish, coral and other underwater vegetation in hues of deep green, bright yellow and brown. This rare shade is supported by an equally rare mermaid base that carries a desirable dark brown patina finish. This three dimensional mermaid which appears to come out of the waves supports a shell from which a single stem arises. The base is finished with three sockets, three acorn pulls, pierced top cap and finial. Shade is unsigned. Base is signed on the underside with felt “Handel Lamps” label. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Lamp is 21″ t. CONDITION: Outstanding professional restoration to area where shade suffered a spider crack. Base is very good to excellent. 5-62503 (15,000-20,000)
