*DWM 1916 DATED LUGER WITH CORRECT ERA HOLSTER. SN 1140 m. Cal. 9 mm. 4″ Barrel with SN and caliber on bottom, and military proof on top right. Receiver has military proofs on right side, 1916 on ring, and SN on left. Frame with stock lug is marked “Gesichert” visible when safety lever is in down position. SN is stamped on front. Center link of toggle assembly has DWM logo. Extractor is marked “Geladen”. All small parts have matching numbers, and correct proofs. Tin-plated magazine has walnut base plug numbered “3884 b”. Brown holster is stamped “Lieherungsvervand der sattlermeister halle a/s 1916”. There is also a large stamp “BA III.” Spare tin-plated magazine with walnut base plug is numbered “2376 i”. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrel, receiver and frame retain 96-98% original blue, silvered slightly at muzzle, and on sharp edges. Sideplate is silvered on edges with trigger lever boss having over 50% blue. Trigger has 60-70% straw. Takedown lever has about 50%. Safety lever has about 90%. Walnut grips show slight wear with small chip missing from top rear of left grip. Grip screws have 60-70% blue. Bore is excellent. Holster has numerous marks and scrapes, and is darkening. Spare magazine is fine. A very fine wartime Luger. 4-39248 MGM98 (1,500-2,500)
