17” A.T. KESTNER DOLL. A rare and desirable doll, the Kestner firm copied “the look” of the French A. Thullier Bebe. Sought after by collectors, this beauty is on a straight wristed composition body, with brown glass sleep eyes, and the “A.T.” mouth. Wearing an original antique factory dress of pink cotton (lightly faded) trimmed with pink ribbon and white lace, antique brown leather shoes with buckles & ankle straps, a fanciful hat, and her original antique hand-knotted blonde mohair wig complete this doll’s look. SIZE: 17”. CONDITION: Overall excellent; minor wear to body, wig has not been fully removed but bisque head appears to be free of damage. JL 1-4548 (5,000-7,000)
