*WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SPECIAL ORDER TAKEDOWN LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30 WCF (30-30). SN 565357. Semi-deluxe rifle with 26” oct bbl, half magazine, takedown with replacement Sheard front sight and a Remington style semi-buckhorn rear sight. Mounted with I-style checkered, straight grain, American walnut with capped pistol grip & crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl retains 93-95% orig blue, slightly thinned over forearm area. Receiver retains 40-50% thin orig blue on the sides with traces of blue on top & bottom with wear & flaking to a silver/brown patina. Stock has a gouge by the heel and a scrape on right side of butt with normal handling & use marks showing moderate to heavy wear and retains most of an old restored finish. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore, frosty in the grooves. 4-30658 (2,500-3,500)
