REMINGTON MODEL 1889 DOUBLE BARREL DAMASCUS HAMMER SHOTGUN. Cal. 10ga. Fine old dbl with 32” damascus bbls with the company name and address on the top rib and the company name on each lockplate. Wood is moderately figured walnut with checkered splinter forearm and semi-pistol grip stock with Remington embossed hard rubber buttplate. SN 245819. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbls retain 85-90% brown damascus pattern. Receiver 30-40% faded case colors and the right lockplate 50-60% case colors with the left having about 30% case colors. Wood is sound with some dark oil staining around the locks and receiver with a couple of chemical streaks down the buttstock. Overall, the wood retains most of its original finish. Buttplate has a chipped toe. Bores are bright and shiny with scattered pitting. 4-48882 JR654 (300-600)
