*EARLY SPRINGFIELD ARMORY M1A SEMI-AUTO RIFLE. Cal. 308. SN 029110. Early commercial M1A with 25″ bbl including its pre-ban, flash hider and bayonet lug. This early rifle is assembled from military M14 parts and appears to be all military except the receiver, to include an orig walnut M14 stock with cutout for the selector lever and a 1967 Springfield bbl. It is mounted with an orig ART II 3-9X scope with three posts and crosshair reticle. The scope is mounted in a standard military style mount and has the electric pencil serial number “4884”. No magazine included. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as issued, retaining virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal and wood. Crisp mechanics, bright shiny bore. 4-53734 JR29 (1,750-2,750)
