*SPRINGFIELD ARMORY M1-D orig SNIPER RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 770176. All orig M1-D with 23-1/2″ bbl, standard battle sights with scope mount at the bbl root. It has a Springfield “2-52” dated bbl and appears to have all Springfield parts (it was not dismantled for complete examination). It is mounted in an oil finished walnut stock with upper & lower hand guards & sling swivels. The left side of the stock has an “S.A.” cartouche in a rectangle and an “RA” cartouche near the left grip. It also has a “P” in a circle on the grip. It is accompanied by its orig cardboard shipping box with all the vapor barrier packing envelopes containing its complete issue of small pieces & parts including an orig cheek piece, M84 scope SN 32817 with base, flash hider, sling, oiler, cleaning rod with handle, a chamber brush and a couple of other small pieces. Also accompanying is the orig packing list dated 14 November 1972 and the orig DD form 1348, shipping document dated, 10 April 1999 addressed to Jack Robert Crance II of Portsmouth, RI. CONDITION: New, unfired, retaining virtually all of its orig arsenal finish. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. 4-54577 JR721 (3,000-5,000)
