LOUIS XV STYLE EBONIZED BOULE CENTER TABLE. Third quarter 19th century. The elongated turtle top applied with cast-foliate gadrooned edge, the top with conforming boule striping, centering an elaborate oval patera of foliate boule work, above the conforming frieze fitted with a single drawer, raised on cabriole legs headed by applied cast-brass female figures, terminating in cast-shell sabots. SIZE: 29-1/2″ h. x 52″ l. x 32″ w. PROVENANCE: From a fine private collection. CONDITION: Very good overall with some restoration to boule outlining in top, with some additional work needed. With good original ebonized finish and original mounts, now fitted with a custom glass top. 9-93123 (2,000-3,000)
