*MAUSER MODEL C96 BROOMHANDLE SEMI-AUTO PISTOL WITH STOCK. SN 326601. Cal. 30 Mauser. Usual configuration, blue finish with 5-1/2″ tapered rnd bbl, barleycorn front sight & 1,000 meter tangent rear sight. Mounted with fine grooved 2-pc walnut grips numbered to this pistol and has a stud & lanyard ring in butt. Accompanied by an orig Mauser military stock/holster with the three digits of SN “980” on stock iron. While Model 96 Broomhandles with small ring hammers are reasonably common they are most uncommon in fine, orig, near unfired condition.Consignor advises gun was purchased from the estate of famous movie actress Greer Garson in Sante Fe,NM. CONDITION: Very fine plus, all matching except stock which is numbered as noted above. Overall pistol retains 96-97% strong orig factory finish with only slight holster wear on bottom of bbl and a few tiny scattered spots of light surface rust. Extractor, sight slide, firing pin retainer, trigger & safety retain most of their orig fire blue showing only light wear. Grips are crisp with only one tiny chip. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore, possibly unfired. Stock has one small hairline by the latch button, otherwise is completely sound and retains most of its orig military finish.
