*KRIEGHOFF SECOND SERIES COMMERCIAL LUGER WITH HOLSTER AND SPARE MAG. SN P33. Cal. 30 Luger. 4″ Barrel has post 1939 nitro proof on bottom. Receiver is unmarked except for proof and “33” on left side. Frame is marked “Gesichert” with safety lever in down position, has SN on front, nitro proof on left side, and Krieghoff parts proof on right. “610” is stamped in front well. All small parts are unnumbered, except trigger, which is numbered “53”. Unnumbered toggle assembly has Krieghoff, “HK”, and anchor logo, and is stamped “Krieghoff Suhl” on center link. Extractor is marked “Geladen”. Breech block has nitro proof, and Krieghoff parts proof. Unnumbered sideplate has parts proof, as does trigger lever. Grips are molded black plastic with coarse checkering. Unmarked extruded blued magazine has Bakelite plug. Black leather military type holster has Waffenampt and “2” under flap. Inside flat is marked in pencil “Webert” and “Bad Kissingen”. Spare tin-plated magazine has beech base plug marked “2739” and “+”. CONDITION: Excellent, showing only the very slightest wear of the original dark salt-blue; mostly at muzzle, front of frame, sharp edges, and trigger lever boss of sideplate. Strawed parts show slight silvering on right side of trigger. Grip screws show use, with slight silvering of their fire blue, mostly on right side. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny. Excellent holster shows a number of light marks and scuffs. Black is thinning, and has not been re-polished. Spare mag is browning with some chips to base plug. Very fine example of this scarce variation with a very low number. Kenyon states in his book LUGERS AT RANDOM (1969) that the lowest serial number reported is P 46. 4-39187 MGM88 (14,000-18,000)
